The yearbook 'Architecture in the Netherlands 2025/2026' presents an overview of the most significant architectural, urban design and landscape projects completed in the Netherlands over the past year. For this 39th edition, the editorial team - Stephan Petermann, Annuska Pronkhorst and Thomas Bedaux - selected 25 leading projects from more than 160 submissions. Prominent themes in this edition include the growing role of timber construction and the strong presence of Amsterdam within the selection.
New to this edition are seven interviews with architects, makers and initiators whose experimental projects and forward-thinking ideas are helping shape the future of Dutch architecture. Featured projects include SAWA, the Hembrug workshop in Zaandam and the humane emergency shelter project De Wachtkamer.
